A card game for two

Cascade

The card game where every set is up for grabs.

For iPhone and iPad. Free.

App Store Coming October 23

How it plays

The story

A game my son invented.

Cascade started as a card game my son made up. Now it’s an app, so anyone can pull up a chair.

Three ways to play

One table, wherever you are.

iPhone Duo

Lay it flat. Sit across the table.

Unfold iPhone Duo and lay it on the table between you. Each player gets their own side, turned to face them, with the shared cards in the middle.

Your hand rests face down on your side. Hold a card to peek.

The two-pane board: your side of the table on the left, the computer's on the right, and the shared cards in a band down the middle

Solo

Play the computer.

The computer plays by the same rules you do. It sees the table and its own hand, never yours.

A game against the computer on iPhone: its sets at the top, the shared table in the middle, and your sets and hand below

Pass and play

Two players, one iPhone.

Take your turn, then pass the phone across. A cover comes up between turns, so nobody sees the other hand. Works on any iPhone.

The result card at the end of a game: You win, 4 to 1, with New Game and Main Menu buttons

How it plays

Make sets. Grow them. Steal them.

  1. Make sets

Play a card onto a matching card on the table. The pair is yours.

  2. Grow them

Add a matching card to a set. Bigger sets score more.

  3. Steal

Grow your opponent’s set and it becomes yours.

  4. Score

A four of a kind locks. When the cards run out, most points wins.

  • QPair1 pt
  • QTriple4 pts
  • QFour8 pts
  • QFive ✓13 pts

Only a joker can take a four to five.
